Maria Ochoa Vazquez is a seasoned facilitator, spirituality coach, and retreat director.
Don’t forget artist & creative.
¡Hola! Thank you for visiting me here.
My name is Maria Ochoa Vazquez, and I am grateful for your curiosity to learn more about me and my practice. I am a contemplative spirituality practitioner/educator and coach, and a facilitator and retreat director. My approach to those roles is through my lens as an artist and creative.
A little about me:
I am a bi-cultural, bi-lingual Latina/Mexican immigrant, wife and mother. My pronouns are (she/her/ella).
I have 15+ years of facilitating and partnering with individuals, small groups, organizations, and communities in transformational work
I have a Bachelors degree in Art from Gonzaga University and Masters degree in Transforming Spirituality from Seattle University
My work over the last decade has specialized in facilitating retreats, providing spiritual coaching, and designing immersive programs focusing on the intersection of spiritual and leadership development. I have facilitated programs and retreats in the U.S. and Latin America
As a visual artist and floral designer, I use expressive arts as a means to engage and empower people to be more creative, and help them to integrate their personal story in order to bring about self-awareness, healing and transformation
I support individuals and small groups in developing their personal and professional leadership capacity in order to live with purpose and lead with heart
My experience spans across sectors including higher education, non-profit, social services, arts, ministry, and entrepreneurship
I love learning languages, exploring nature, drinking tea, making puzzles, using several artistic mediums, gardening, and discovering music. Making beautiful spaces, dancing, and sharing good food are high up there as well.
A special note about equity, diversity & inclusion
As a skilled facilitator and trained spiritual coach, I am committed to holding space for people of diverse spiritual/faith backgrounds, ethnic/racial identities, gender expressions, physical abilities, and sexual orientations. As a Mexicana/mestiza person who is often white-assumed, I bring sensitivity and awareness to varying levels of privilege, needs, and experiences of people. I am committed to my own anti-racist learning/unlearning towards building spaces for greater justice and equity. I am ethically bound to preserve confidentiality for all people who partake in my services.
